This is a starter home page for Lee Rothfarb, Associate Professor of Music Theory in the Music Department at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and currently department chair.

My research focuses on the music-analytical writings and compositions of August Halm (1869-1929), and in general on music and topics in the history of music theory of the tonal period.
